My introduction

Hi, my name is Molly and over the past several years I have let myself go. Through bad breakups and a stressful school atmosphere, through the excitement of getting engaged and "oh just one more"... I let myself gain 100 pounds! And I will tell you... that weight has gone on much faster than it will come off. I am sick of hiding myself from the world and not admitting the sheer destruction I have caused myself. I am not here to preach to you about one diet or another or how you should give up gluten or dairy, etc. The truth is only you know what is right for your body and what you need to sustain a healthy lifestyle and you cannot let anyone else dictate what that healthy medium is for you. Whether you feel most successful eating meat or being vegan, this is up to you! But I stand before you now feeling empowered by the truth I have recognized in myself; I have gone too far and now I need to help myself.
I am vegetarian with a little tuna here or eggs here but for the most part I try to stay away from most animal proteins. I am beginning the Eat to Live diet by Dr. Joel Fuhrman this week because I recognize that my body doesn't do well with gluten or with animal proteins... but that doesn't mean that it is what you are looking for.
I wanted to start this blog because I have found some great recipes and some awesome things that are working for me in the beginning of this journey and I wanted to share what I have found with others. It is so important to have supports wherever you can find them and the internet can be an amazing start. I am also starting this so that others can share their ideas with me! I want as many ideas as I can get!!! So if you are thinking about starting a journey like me, or have already started, or wherever you are in this food cycle join me and give share yourself too!
Now I do not profess to be a writer... I know that sometimes what I say can be muddled or confusing and if that is the case I apologize and if you ever don't understand please ask me to clarify! I am just a normal girl writing about a passion: food and an awakening: my health. I am attaching a picture of myself so that you can see where I was six weeks ago and where I am today. I have not changed too much, but it is important to track ANY progress and be proud of what you have done. So here we go.

Today; after about 6 weeks...

At my graduation ceremony with my amazing fiance; 7 weeks ago.

I know there isn't much difference yet but soon!!!
